V1 COACH for iOS now supports dual camera capture, letting you record a swing from two angles simultaneously. Both views are captured in a single session and are immediately ready for side-by-side analysis. The primary device acts as the remote for the secondary device, allowing you to start and stop recording on both cameras from the primary device.
Before starting, ensure both devices are running V1 COACH app versions greater than 5.5.0.
Solution Overview
Tap camera icon in menu on both devices, and select the same athlete profile to store the video under
Tap camera + icon in recording menu bar on both devices
Pair Camera modal opens and searches for cameras
From primary device, tap secondary device once found, then tap close
Camera + icon will turn red, identifying successful pairing
Record swing
*You may need to enable additional device permissions related to bluetooth sharing. Follow the prompts on your iOS devices as requested.
Tactical Rundown
Step 1
Set up your devices to film from two angles. We recommend a down-the-line and face on angle for the best analysis.
Step 2
Open V1 COACH on the secondary device. Tap the camera, tap the athlete profile the recording should be saved under, then tap the Camera + icon in the recording menu.
Then, open V1 COACH on the primary device. Tap the camera, tap the same athlete profile, then tap the Camera+ icon in the recording menu. Wait while Pair Camera modal searches for secondary device. Tap secondary device once found, then tap close.
The Camera + icon will turn red, signaling that the pairing was successful.
Step 3
From your primary device, tap record (or say "V1 Start" for voice activated capture). Tap again to end the recording after the swing is captured.
Step 4
Both angles are saved to the session as independent videos and can be analyzed on either device. You can view both swing angles at the same time using Compare in the V1 COACH analyzer tool.
