Can I change my V1CE page URL to something like v1ce.co/myname?

Yes. You can change your V1CE page URL to a custom slug like v1ce.co/yourname at any time, on any V1CE plan, for free. This is separate from the V1CE Custom Domain feature (which lets you use your own domain like card.yourcompany.com on enterprise plans). The free slug change is the right option for most customers who want a clean, memorable link.

Change your V1CE page slug on V1CE ClientCapture OS

  1. Log in at app.v1ce.co

  2. Go to Pages in the left menu

  3. Open the page whose URL you want to change

  4. Click Settings or the gear icon next to the page title

  5. In the URL slug field, edit the text after v1ce.co/ to whatever you want (letters, numbers, hyphens)

  6. Save

Your V1CE page is now reachable at the new URL. The old URL stops working straight away, so update anywhere you've shared the old link (LinkedIn, Instagram, email signature, business card, wallet pass).

Change your slug on legacy V1CE Plus, Pro, or Teams software

If you see a link switcher at the top of your dashboard, you are on legacy V1CE software. The URL slug is set per V1CE link:

  1. Log in at app.v1ce.co

  2. Open the link you want to edit (use the link switcher if you have multiple)

  3. Click Edit Link or the settings icon

  4. Update the URL slug field

  5. Save

Slug rules and what's allowed

Your V1CE slug can be 3 to 40 characters, made up of letters, numbers, and hyphens. Slugs are case insensitive (v1ce.co/JaneDoe and v1ce.co/janedoe point to the same page). Slugs are first come first served, so common names may already be taken. If your first choice is taken, try a hyphenated version (v1ce.co/jane-doe) or add a relevant tag (v1ce.co/jane-cmo).

Does my QR code or NFC card stop working after I change the slug?

No. Your physical V1CE card and the QR code on the back are linked to your V1CE page on the back end, not to the URL slug. When you change the slug, your card carries on working as normal and the QR code on your card now points to the new URL on its own. You do not need to reprint anything.

When should I use a custom domain instead?

If you want your V1CE page on your own domain (for example, card.yourcompany.com instead of v1ce.co/yourname), that is V1CE Custom Domain, which is an enterprise feature. The free slug change covers most customers' needs. The custom domain is mainly for agencies, large teams that want every team member's page on the company domain, and brand-sensitive enterprises.
