✅ Day of Check-In Guide

This guide explains how to set up the guest’s smart lock code and send them a message with check-in info, parking instructions, and house rules.

  • Helps guests check in smoothly

  • Avoids confusion with parking and access

  • Reduces last-minute questions


✅ What You Need

  • Guest has an approved booking and confirmed check-in date

  • Access to the Wyze app

  • Guest’s phone number (to generate their access code)

  • Pre-saved House Rules and House Manual in Airbnb Quick Replies

  • Photos of the property, entrance, and parking spot


Steps

🔐 1. Set Guest’s Smart Lock Code in Wyze

  1. Open Wyze app

  2. Select the correct property

  3. Tap the gear icon (top right)

  4. Go to Keypad Settings > Access Codes

  5. Tap Create a Guest Code

  6. Enter guest’s name > Tap Next

  7. Select Temporary

  8. Set code activation and deactivation times:

    1. Activate: 15 minutes before check-in (e.g., 3:45 PM for a 4 PM check-in)

    1. Deactivate: 15 minutes after check-out (e.g., 10:15 AM for a 10 AM checkout)

  9. Tap Save

  10. Tap Next

  11. Enter a 4-digit code (use the last 4 digits of guest’s phone number)

  12. Tap Next to finish


💬 2. Send the Check-In Message to Guest

Hi [Guest Name],

Hope your day is going well! Just a heads-up—you’re all set to check in starting at 4 PM. Your unique 4-digit code is [CODE]. It will activate at 3:45 PM and will work for the remainder of your stay.

Your unit is located at the back of the property—it’s the gray house.

Parking Instructions:

There are 2 TANDEM parking spots (cars park one behind the other). Please only park in your assigned space. See attached photo to locate the yellow markers and park at the edge of the markers.

Accessing the Unit:

- The keypad is at the top left of the door frame.

- Enter your code, then press the unlock button (bottom right of the keypad)
