A client in Vantage is the company you are doing work for. Everything else in your workspace connects back to a client: projects, events, assets, opportunities, contacts, and documents.
When you create a project, an opportunity, or an event, you select the client first. This keeps all work in Vantage tied to the company it is for.
What a client profile holds
Clients also have tabs for:
Contacts: people at the client company
Projects: all projects linked to this client
Assets: fixed locations (like stores or offices) and moving assets (like vehicles)
Comments: internal notes and discussions
Docs: files and documents attached to the client
If your workspace has the Addresses feature enabled, the client can also have a linked address with location details, phone number, and access instructions.
How clients connect to the rest of your workspace
Every opportunity, project, and event requires a client. When you create any of these records, you select the client first. This means all work in Vantage is always tied back to the company it is for.
Assets belong to clients too. A client can have multiple fixed locations (like stores or offices) and moving assets (like vehicles). Events can be linked to these assets to show where the work takes place.
Contacts are people at the client company. You can invite contacts to the Client Portal so they can see project progress and event details without needing a full Vantage account.
