Creating an event inside a project

How to add an event directly from a project in Vantage.

You can create a new event directly from inside a project. This automatically links the event to that project and copies over key details like the client.

  1. Go to the Projects page and open the project you want to add an event to.

  2. On the project drawer, find the Events section.

  3. Click +Add event.

  4. Select the event type (for example, Install, Survey, or Delivery).

  5. Fill in the event details. The client and project fields are pre-filled for you.

If the project has an address, the Address name field is also pre-filled. If the project does not have an address but the client does, the client's address is used instead. You can change it, clear it, or create a new one.

Click Save to create the event.

The new event now appears in the project's event list and on the Events page.

You can click Copy from project title to use the project's title as the event title, saving time when the names should match.

FAQ

Is the event automatically linked to the project?

Yes. When you create an event from inside a project, the event is automatically linked to that project and inherits the client.

Can I add multiple events to one project?

Yes. You can add as many events as you need to a single project. Each event can have a different type, schedule, and set of assignees.

Where does the pre-filled address come from?

Vantage checks for an address in this order: the project first, then the client. The first one found is used. You can always change it or clear it before saving.
