An event is a single piece of scheduled work in Vantage. It could be an installation, a site survey, a delivery, a maintenance visit, or any other on-site job your team carries out.
Events are the core building block of all work in Vantage. Every job your team does is tracked as an event.
How events connect to clients and projects
Every event is linked to a client because all work is done for someone. Events can also be linked to a project if the work is part of a larger job.
You do not need a project to create an event. Standalone events work just as well for one-off jobs like a quick survey or a delivery.
Key actions on an event
Once you create an event, you can:
Set start and end dates so the event appears on the calendar and in the Schedule.
Assign installers or vendors who will carry out the work.
Attach a task list to outline the steps that need to be completed.
Upload documents and photos related to the job.
Submit a completion report when the work is done and send it for approval.
Where to find events
You can see all your events on the Events page in the left sidebar. Events can be viewed as a list or on a calendar. You can also open events from inside a project drawer, where only the events linked to that project are shown.
