Setting up a Group

How to set up a group in Vector?

Updated over a week ago

Group Creation

Users can create groups to share memes and trade with friends. Groups are private and accessible only to their members. The group leader earns 0.25% of the trading volume from broadcasts within the group.

To create a group, go to the Home tab by tapping the House logo at the bottom left.

Home Tab

Tap the Groups section in the top right, then select the Create Group button.

Group Creation Button

Enter a group name, upload a logo, and search for members to invite.

You can only invite members who have enabled group invites. If you receive error when trying to invite a member, reach out to the member to check their invite settings.

To add new members after creating a group, open the group and select the invite option. Within the group, tapping the leaderboard icon lets you view the weekly performance of group members.

Telegram Bot

To enhance your group experience, you can integrate the Vector Telegram bot into your Telegram group.

Start by sending the /start command to the Vector Bot (@VectorTGBot) and click Login. Use the same email associated with your account on the Vector Mobile App.

Next, click on the Vector Bot profile and select Add to Group or Channel, then choose the group you want to add the bot to.

Ensure the bot has full admin rights, including the ability to delete messages.

Once set up, you’re ready to go! Post a CA in your group chat to get started.

How to Disable RickBot from Responding to CAs

We understand that many groups use Rick for various tools and features, and it can be frustrating if both Vector and Rick respond to CAs simultaneously. To avoid this, we recommend using the /autorespond off command for Rick.

This will retain all of Rick's features but prevent automatic responses to CAs.
