How to Make a Trade (Buy or Sell)?

How to Trade on Vector Desktop

Vector Desktop offer multiple way to trade your Tokens.

Trading on the Token Terminal

Enter the Token Terminal by clicking on any token. On the right-hand side, you’ll find the Order Form.

Market Orders

  • Enter the amount you want to buy/sell or select from the preset amounts.

  • Press Buy or Sell to execute immediately at the current market price.

Limit Orders

  • Enter the amount you want to buy/sell or select from the preset amounts.

  • Adjust the Trigger Slider (default at 0% = market price):

    • Slide right → sets a Take Profit order.

    • Slide left → sets a Stop Loss order.

    • Or manually enter a trigger price.

  • Press Buy or Sell — the order will execute once the trigger price is reached.

Note: Limit orders are currently only supported on the sell-side and only for launchpads with WSOL-backed pools.

The Order Form can be hidden by pressing the “Hide Order Form” button on the top right of the chart.

Instant Trade

For fast execution, you can use the Instant Trade panel within the Token Terminal:

  • Click the lightning icon ⚡ at the bottom-right of the chart.

  • Choose one of the preset amounts to instantly buy or sell at market price.

Trading Settings

Both the Order Form and Instant Trade include a Transactions Settings menu (top right of the form):

  • Customize your preset trade amounts.

  • Configure transaction preferences such as:

    • Slippage tolerance

    • MEV protection

    • Bribe fee

    • Priority fee

    • Display mode (SOL / USDC / %)

Other Trading Method

Outside of the Trading Terminal, you’ll also find Quick Buy buttons across different pages — including Explore, Demon Mode, Feed, and Trackers.

  • Pressing a Quick Buy button instantly carries out the transaction.

  • Use the Transaction Settings menu to adjust your preset amounts and trading preferences before executing.
