Scanning barcodes is a feature of the Ventory mobile app that allows users to visually validate barcodes in real time, configure and process unrecognized barcodes, and automatically share this knowledge and configuration across the entire company.

Here’s how the scanning on Ventory mobile application looks like :

Step 1 : Go to Ventory mobile app > Navigate to “SCAN” icon > You will be prompted to the scanner window > align your mobile correctly with the product barcode > allow the system to scan.

Step 2: Once the application recognizes the barcodes, they will turn green, indicating that the barcodes are recognized and mapped to the database.

Step 3: If a certain barcode turns red > click on the barcode > a pop-up window appears on the screen > map the barcode to the correct property.

You can map the barcode to Product master > to an Existing Reference Data or create a New Product Reference Data

OR,

You can map the barcode to a LOT > to an Existing Lot or create a New Lot

A confirmation pop-up window will appear on the screen once all the barcodes are successfully mapped to their properties.
