Understand how to keep track of your nutrition with Veri

Nutrition is an important aspect of your metabolic health. It impacts everything from short-term energy levels to long-term health factors.

Logging all of your meals is critical because it allows you to learn how certain foods affect your metabolic health. Veri makes it easy with our AI-powered meal-logging feature.

Simply photograph your food and our AI will automatically detect the ingredients.

Here's how it works:

  1. Tap "+" and select the meal type

  2. Take a photo of your meal (or add it from your library)

  3. Click "save meal"

  4. Wait 2 hours and then check back and review the Meal Score data

That's it!

If an ingredient was missed or you have more to add, tap "Add foods" at the bottom to search or add by taking another picture or barcode.

Tip: Tap the heart icon at the top right of the meal card to "favorite" this meal so you can add it with one tap next time!


If an incorrect ingredient was added, tap "x" next to the ingredient to remove it.

If you want to change the meal time or type, you can tap "more" on the right.

You can also add foods manually by tapping the search field below.

This is where the fun begins - for the next two hours after your meal start time, your Veri app will calculate how that meal affects your blood sugar to give you a Meal Score. Learn more about your Meal Score here.

Tip: If you think your Meal Score was affected by a high-intensity workout or a hot shower (both can cause spikes) you can exclude this meal by tapping in the info icon at the top right, then selecting "Exclude this Meal Score."
