Host Identity Verification
Before a host can publish a listing, they are required to complete an identity verification process.
This helps us confirm that the person creating the account is who they claim to be and reduces the risk of fraudulent accounts.
Listing Review
Before a listing is published, our team reviews it to ensure it meets our platform standards.
During this review, we may evaluate:
Listing descriptions for accuracy and completeness
Property photos for quality and consistency
Amenities and house rules for clarity
Pricing and other listing information for potential red flags
If additional information is needed, our team may contact the host before the listing is approved.
Ongoing Fraud Monitoring
Our review process doesn't end once a listing is published. We continually monitor our marketplace for suspicious activity and investigate reports submitted by travelers, hosts, and our internal team.
This may include reviewing:
Traveler reports
Host responsiveness
Listing updates
Verification concerns
Potential fraudulent activity
If we identify a listing or account that violates our policies, we may suspend or remove it while our team investigates.
What This Means for Travelers
Our screening process is designed to help provide:
More reliable listings
Greater transparency
Protection against fraudulent accounts
A safer booking experience
While no online marketplace can guarantee that fraud will never occur, Vidle Housing is committed to proactively identifying suspicious activity and maintaining a trusted platform for healthcare travelers.
If you believe a listing is inaccurate, suspicious, or violates our policies, please contact our Customer Experience team as soon as possible. We'll investigate the issue promptly and take appropriate action when necessary.
