72-Hour Risk-Free Booking Guarantee
If a reservation is booked more than 28 days before check-in, travelers may cancel within 72 hours of booking and receive a full refund.
This risk-free cancellation period only applies when the reservation is made more than 28 days before the scheduled check-in date.
Standard Cancellation Policy
After the 72-hour risk-free period has ended, the following cancellation schedule applies.
28 Days or More Before Check-In
Travelers receive a full refund of the reservation amount, excluding applicable platform or payment processing fees.
14–27 Days Before Check-In
Travelers receive a 50% refund of the reservation amount, excluding applicable platform or payment processing fees.
Less Than 14 Days Before Check-In
Reservations canceled fewer than 14 days before check-in are non-refundable.
How to Cancel a Reservation
All cancellations must be submitted through the Vidle Housing platform.
To cancel a reservation:
Log in to your Vidle Housing account.
Navigate to Reservations.
Select the reservation.
Follow the prompts to submit your cancellation request.
Submitting cancellations through the platform creates a record of the request and allows refunds to be processed correctly when applicable.
Refund Processing
When a refund is approved, it is returned to the original payment method.
Most refunds are processed within 5–10 business days, although timing may vary depending on your financial institution.
Platform fees, payment processing fees, or other applicable transaction fees may be non-refundable.
Mid-Stay Cancellations
If a traveler chooses to end their stay after check-in, unused nights are generally non-refundable.
Exceptions may apply if Vidle Housing determines the property is uninhabitable or a significant documented issue could not be reasonably resolved.
In certain situations, Vidle Housing may review reservations outside the standard cancellation policy.
Examples may include:
The property is unsafe or uninhabitable.
The property cannot be accessed.
A significant issue is reported shortly after arrival and cannot be resolved.
A covered Major Disruptive Event prevents the reservation.
Applicable law requires a different outcome.
Each situation is reviewed individually based on the reservation details and available documentation.
