Our Commission Structure

Vidle Housing charges a 12% commission on successful bookings. This commission is automatically deducted from the host’s payout, so there’s nothing extra you need to manage or invoice.

What the 12% Covers

This commission helps support and maintain a high-quality platform for both hosts and healthcare travelers, including:

  • 💬 Guest support & communication tools

  • 🔒 Secure payment processing through Stripe

  • 📣 Marketing to healthcare professionals nationwide

  • 🛠️ Ongoing platform improvements and booking tools

  • 📈 Increased listing visibility and performance insights

We only earn when you earn — our success is directly tied to yours.

Example: How Payouts Work

Let’s say your monthly rent is $2,000.

  • Monthly rent: $2,000

  • Vidle Housing commission (12%): $240

  • Your payout: $1,760

The commission is automatically deducted, and the remaining amount is sent directly to you through Stripe.

When Do Hosts Get Paid?

To ensure safety and trust for both parties, payouts are released 24 hours after guest check-in.
This brief holding period allows time to confirm that:

  • The guest has successfully checked in

  • There are no immediate access or habitability issues

This is a standard industry practice designed to protect both hosts and guests.

Can Hosts Adjust Pricing?

Yes! Hosts are welcome to set custom rates and factor the commission into their pricing strategy. Many hosts choose to price accordingly so their net earnings align with their goals.

If you ever need help understanding your earnings or navigating payouts, our support team is happy to help.
