How Do I Set House Rules for My Listing?

Learn how to set and update house rules to clarify expectations for guests during their stay.

House rules help set clear expectations for guests and ensure your property is treated with care. You can define these rules during the listing setup or anytime by editing your listing in the Vidle Host Dashboard.

Common House Rules Include:

  • Quiet hours

  • Pet policies

  • Smoking restrictions

  • Visitor and overnight guest limits

  • Use of amenities

  • Check-out instructions (e.g., take out trash, start dishwasher)

How to Set or Update Your House Rules

  1. Log In and Access Your Listing
    Log in to your Host Dashboard at www.vidlehousing.com and click My Listings.

  2. Edit Your Listing
    On the right side of the listing, click the three dots and select Edit Listing.

  3. Navigate to Rules
    Under Quick Navigation, click Rules.

  4. Update Policies
    You can configure the following:

    • Smoking Policy

    • Parties Allowed

    • Pets Allowed

    • Children Allowed

  5. Set Check-In Details and Rules
    From the same section, you can also add:

    • Check-in and Check-out Times

    • Minimum Stay Requirements

    • House Rules

    • Additional Rules

    • Check-in Instructions

  6. Add Additional Information
    In your House Rules, you can provide details such as:

    • Maximum number of guests or visitors

    • Amenities available

    • Any other important guidelines for travelers

Guests will see your rules before booking, and agreeing to them is part of the reservation process.
