I1. Review Your Listing Details
Check that your listing is complete, accurate, and compelling:
Photos: Ensure high-quality images of all rooms, exterior, and key amenities. Consider professional photography or staged setups.
Titles & Descriptions: Make your listing title catchy and descriptive. Include the type of property, key features, and location highlights.
Amenities & Tags: Make sure all applicable amenities are selected and tags are added. Travelers often filter based on specific needs like Wi-Fi, parking, or laundry.
2. Check Your Pricing
Competitive Rates: Compare your rates to similar listings in your area. Overpricing can deter potential guests, while underpricing may reduce perceived value.
Include Fees: Remember to factor in Vidle Housing’s 12% commission when setting your rates.
Promotions: Consider offering discounts for longer stays or first-time travelers to attract initial bookings.
3. Optimize Your Calendar & Availability
Open Dates: Ensure your calendar is updated and reflects accurate availability. Travelers are more likely to book properties with flexible, clear dates.
Minimum Stays: Review your minimum stay requirements; overly restrictive rules may limit bookings. Vidle Housing has a default 30-day minimum, but adjust as appropriate for your market.
4. Highlight Proximity to Hospitals
Many of our travelers are healthcare professionals seeking convenient housing near hospitals and medical centers. If your property is near healthcare facilities, make sure this is clearly mentioned in your description.
5. Respond Promptly to Inquiries
Travelers often book properties where hosts respond quickly. Ensure notifications are enabled, and reply to inquiries within 24 hours.
6. Use Listing Integrations & Automation
Sync your listing with platforms like Airbnb, Hospitable, or Hostaway to reach a broader audience.
Utilize automated messaging to provide timely responses and maintain professionalism even when you’re busy.
7. Update Your Listing Regularly
Refresh photos, update descriptions, and revise amenities seasonally or as improvements are made. A current and well-maintained listing instills confidence in travelers.
8. Seek Support if Needed
If you’ve reviewed all elements and bookings are still slow, contact CustomerSupport@VidleHousing.com.
Include screenshots, details about your listing, and a brief description of the issue. Our team can provide guidance or suggestions to help improve booking performance.
✅ Tip: Listings that are complete, accurate, visually appealing, competitively priced, and responsive to travelers are far more likely to receive bookings. Regularly reviewing your listing performance and making adjustments ensures your property stays competitive in the market.
