Payment Processing Fees (via Stripe)
While Vidle Housing does not charge travelers any fees, payments are securely processed through Stripe, our trusted third-party payment processor. Stripe applies standard transaction fees for handling payments:
Credit or Debit Card Payments: 3% per transaction
ACH Bank Transfers: 0.8% per transaction (capped at $5 maximum)
👉 These fees are set and collected by Stripe, not Vidle Housing. We do not receive any portion of these processing fees.
Price Transparency at Booking
When you’re ready to book a stay, you’ll see a full price breakdown before confirming your reservation. This includes:
Rent due at booking
Any future scheduled payments (for longer stays)
Cleaning fees (if applicable)
Payment processing fees from Stripe
This ensures there are no surprises and you can review all costs before completing your booking.

If you’re looking to minimize transaction costs, we recommend choosing ACH (bank transfer) whenever possible. ACH payments typically have a lower fee than credit or debit cards and are capped at $5.
