Start by signing into your account on ViewMedica.com. If you don’t remember how to sign in, see our logging in tutorial.

  1. From your Dashboard, click the On-Demand “Presentations” link.

  2. Click the “Create New Presentation” button in the middle of the screen, if this is your first presentation. If not, you can create a new presentation by clicking the “Create New” button in the upper right-hand of the page.

  3. Give your presentation a name. This name will be seen in the ViewMedica menu system. Use a descriptive name so you and your patients can easily find it in your On-Demand menu.

  4. Click the “Build Your Presentation” button.

  5. Add content to your presentation.

    Add ViewMedica videos

Click the “Add Videos” button. Select “Video Subscriptions” from the dropdown. Open a library to get to your subscribed videos. Find and click on the video titles you want to add to your presentation. You can select more than one video at a time. Click the “Add to Presentation” button.

    Add your own videos

Click the “Add Videos” button. Select “Create Video” to add new video content or “My Saved Videos” to choose from your list of saved videos already created. See our tutorials on Creating a Self-hosted Video Item, How to Upload Your Own Video to ViewMedica, or Creating a YouTube Video Item.

    Add your own slides

Click the “Add Slides” button. Select “Create Slide” to add new content or “My Saved Slides” to choose from your list of saved slides already created. See our tutorials on Creating a Text Slide or Creating an Image Slide.

  6. Click and drag the items in the list to reorder the content in the presentation.

Preview a presentation

Click the “Preview” tab to review your presentation.

Embed a presentation

Select the “Embed” tab. Copy the embed code and paste it on a page in your website. You can also find the presentation in your On-Demand player under "Presentations" in your main menu. To learn more about the different code settings for embeds, see our tutorial on Customizing the Embed Code

Customize settings

There are a number of settings you can change for a Presentation. Update these from the presentation “Settings” tab.

Title

This is the name of your presentation and will be seen in the ViewMedica menu system.

Poster image

Set or change the poster image used by your presentation. By default, the poster uses the first ViewMedica video in your presentation. Otherwise, it uses your logo or uploaded art.

Playback Options

These options change how users can interact with the presentation.

  • Visibility: By default, your presentation is set to be “Public.” This means it is available under "Presentations" in the main menu of the On-Demand player. If you don't want the presentation to be public, change its visibility to “Private.”

  • Skipping: By default, users can skip items in your presentation. If you want to make sure they see everything, you can set the skipping setting to “No Skipping.”

  • Language: By default, your presentations will only play in your On-Demand default language. If you want your presentation to repeat the ViewMedica videos in another available language (English, then Spanish), change this setting to “Two Languages.”

Convert Presentation

You can convert Presentations to a Collection Menu or VMcast loop.
