In order to integrate with Circle, log into the Circle community for which you'd like to use.

Note: You must be the admin of the community

How to Integrate:

  1. Click the gear icon on the top navigation bar.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the left-hand navigation bar until you see "API"

  3. Click "Create API token"

  4. For the name, please enter "Virtually"

  5. Click "Create"

  6. For the newly created entry, please copy the string of letters and numbers you see
    โ€‹

  7. Now, go to Virtually and click "Settings"

  8. Click to the 'Integrations' tab

  9. Scroll down until you see "Connect with Circle"

  10. Paste the API key within the Circle Integration API key field

  11. And that's all! Now, create a new announcement and select "Circle" to start sending announcements to the Circle community of your choice

What the integration does:

Announcements

When you integrate your Virtually account with Circle, you can easily cross-post announcements to email and the Circle space of your choice all in one fell swoop.

What's more, you can schedule announcements from Virtually to be sent to your Circle community and space of choice. Not even Circle itself lets you schedule posts!

Here's what that looks like:

Events

Virtually's Circle integration also enables you to push events to your Circle community of choice.

Here's a quick video on how it works:

Here's how it works step by step:

  1. In your Virtually account, head over to Settings and scroll down to your Circle integration.

  2. Add in your desired Community and Space to share your events from Virtually to.

Note: You must choose a space that has Circle Events enabled.

3. Create an event in Virtually as you normally would. From now on, any event you create in Virtually will automatically appear under Circle Events for the Circle Community and Space you specified in Settings.

Note: You can add rich text to your Circle Event descriptions by using HTML!

4. Your members can then access events and RSVP right from within Circle. In addition to any reminders to email or Slack you may have set up in Virtually, Circle has its own reminders that will send to any guests ahead of your event as well.

5. If you need to edit your event, you can edit it right in Virtually and the edit will reflect in Circle.

6. If you need to delete your event, you'll need to delete it both in Virtually and in Circle as well.

Import Members

You can import members directly from Circle into your Virtually account. Learn more about this here.
