What kind of ID can I use for my marriage license?
What kind of ID can I use for my marriage license?
Updated over a week ago

Utah requires that you upload a picture of your ID in order to get a marriage license. That ID can be any government issued document that meets the following criteria:

-Has your FULL LEGAL name written in English (If it is not in English, see below)

-Has your birthday

-Includes photo of you

-Has not expired

Common examples of this are passports, drivers licenses, government issued ID cards, and prison IDs. The ID can be from any country but must be issued by the government of that country.

If your ID does not include an English translation, the system will not be able to accept it. If that is the case, you will need to submit a manual ID verification request (see link below) along with a certified translation of your ID. You can usually find certified translators in your home country or they can be found online.

If you have questions whether your ID will work, feel free to email us at hello@virtualmarriage.com

If you are having trouble uploading your ID, don't worry. Read this article below to see how to do a manual ID request.
