How to Create Reference Letters in Drafts

In this video, we’ll walk you through how to create Reference Letters.

Reference Letters are available only for select case types. Please review the list below to confirm that your case type supports this feature:

  • EB-1A

  • EB-1B

  • NIW

  • O-1A

  • O-1B

Create a Reference Letter

  • Click on +New Draft > Upload all relevant documents for the case

  • Under Step 3 - Exhibits: Click on Create Reference Letters > Generate Letters on the left hand side

  • You can either upload more documents or AI Document Analysis

💡How are documents analyzed for Reference Letters?

The AI analyzes the uploaded documents to identify the beneficiary’s qualifications, achievements, and contributions, then drafts a personalized reference letter highlighting their expertise and impact.

Redraft a Reference Letter

  • Navigate to Step 3: Exhibits List > Reference Letters: View & Edit

  • Click on Continue Where you Left Off, select the letter you want to redraft, then click Settings

  • Click on Add Documents and select a new template, if applicable

  • Click Redraft

Add a New Recommender Contact Manually

  • Click on +Add More Contacts

  • Enter the Recommender's Name > Click on Add Contact

  • Select the Role, Template and Template Length

  • Select the documents that will be used to draft the letter > Click Save Selection

Create a Template for Reference Letter

Reference Letter templates must be set up prior to generating Reference Letters in the case.
