Once you’ve installed the Vision-e Maps package from the AppExchange, follow these 3 steps:
1. Assign Permission Set
2. Geocode Records
3. Create Maps
1. Assign the Vision-e Maps Permission Set
To use Vision-e Maps, users need the appropriate permission set. Without it, they won’t be able to access the app.
How to assign the permission set:
Go to Setup.
In the Quick Find search box, type “Permission Sets.”
Click “Permission Sets” from the results.
Find “Vision-e Maps” in the list of permission sets and select it.
The Vision-e Maps (Geocode) permission set is for users who will need to geocode records.
The Vision-e Maps (Non-Geocode) permission set is for users who will not need to geocode records.
Assign the permission set to the users who will be using Vision-e Maps.
2. Geocode Your Records
Before you can map records, they need to be geocoded.
How to geocode records:
1. Open the App Launcher and search for “Vision-e Maps.”
2. On the Map page, click the “Vision-e Geocodes” tab.
3. Select the object(s) you want to geocode.
3. Start Creating Maps
After assigning permissions and geocoding your data, you’re all set! Now you can start creating maps and exploring your data visually with Vision-e Maps.
