March 2025 Updates

  • Optimized Route Component: The Optimized Route Lightning Web Component now shows how much distance is saved when using an optimized route.

  • Map Usage Logging: Map Log records are now created whenever someone does any of the following:

    • Views the map page.

    • Loads, saves, creates, or updates a map.

    • Prints or emails a route (including optimized routes).

  • Map Usage Reports: Admin users and users with the “View Vision-e Maps Logs” permission set can now generate reports based on map activity logs.

  • Geocode Lighting Web Component: This component can be added as a Lightning Action on record pages. It allows users with the Vision-e Maps (Geocode) permission to geocode individual records right from the record page.

  • Geocode Record Flow Template: This flexible flow template handles the geocoding process and updates the geolocation fields using your existing mapping setup. It can be used on its own or as part of other flows in Salesforce.

  • Reset Geolocation Flow Template: This reusable flow template is used to clear existing geolocation values and update the related gelocation fields on a record.

  • Clearing Geolocation on Address Change: Automatic triggers have been added for the Account, Lead, and Contact objects. These triggers automatically clear geolocation values whenever an address is updated on a record.

February 2025 Update

  • Improved map loading times: We’ve optimized loading times for maps containing a large number of records.

January 2025 Update

  • Events Lightning Web Component: Users can now add events to routes directly through the Events Lightning Web Component. Each event is added as a stop on the route. Events can be filtered by “My Events,” “My Team’s Events,” and start date.

December 2024 Updates

  • Geocoding Update: Users can now geocode records using list views.

  • Geocoding Using Account Shipping Address: Users can now geocode account records using the shipping address.

  • Change Record Owner: Using the Select Records component, users can now update the record owner for the selected records.

  • Updates to the Map Maker and Color Rules components: A loading spinner now displays while a map is loading or when color rules are being applied.

November 2024 Updates

  • My Route Component Update: Added support for setting a custom route start time and adjusting the duration for route stops.

  • Record Details and Task & Events Components Update: Both are now combined in a tabbed view.

  • Selected Records Component Update: The Selected Records component now displays each record’s name, city, state, and ZIP code. When users click on a record in the Selected Records component, the record’s details will appear in the Record Details component. Additionally, users can export the selected records to generate a CSV file containing the selected data.

  • Radius Tool Update: The radius tool now allows users to select records within a specified radius and create a route. All selected records will be displayed in the Selected Records component.

  • My Upcoming Events Component: Added the My Upcoming Events Component to the map page layout.

October 2024 Updates

  • Vision-e Maps for Mobile: We’ve introduced mobile support, enabling users to access their maps directly on their mobile devices using the Salesforce mobile app.

  • Vision-e Maps: An updated Vision-e Maps AppExchange package with new features and functionality was released.

August 2024 Updates

  • Vision-e Maps Lightning Update: We’re excited to announce that Vision-e Maps is now fully Lightning enabled. This update brings the power and flexibility of Salesforce Lightning to Vision-e Maps, allowing for a more seamless and intuitive user experience.
