Scan Item Object
If your organization uses custom fields on the Lead and Contact objects and you want to capture this information when scanning business cards, you’ll need to add corresponding custom fields to the Scan Item object.
Mapping Custom Fields
• Custom fields on the Scan Item object can be mapped to the Lead and Contact objects.
• Mapped fields ensure that the data is transferred when a scan item is processed.
• Fields not mapped to the Lead or Contact objects will not transfer when processing a record.
