Scan App Session Settings

Session settings for the Scan app allow administrators to manage user authentication duration and security policies. These settings determine how long users can remain logged in when not actively using the app, ensuring both convenience and security.

By default, users stay logged in indefinitely unless they manually sign out of the app. However, administrators can customize these settings to enforce session timeouts based on inactivity. This helps maintain security, especially in shared or sensitive environments, by automatically logging out users after a specified period of non-use.

Updating Session Settings for Vision-e Scan

To change the session settings:

1. Go to Setup in Salesforce.

2. Use the search bar to find and select “App Manager.”

3. In the Lightning Experience App Manager, locate “Vision-e Scan” under the App Name column.

Note: Do not select “Vision-e Scan App.”

4. Click the arrow on the far right of the row and choose “Manage.”

5. On the Connected App Detail page, click “Edit Policies.”

6. Find the Refresh Token Policy section and update the settings as needed.

7. Based on your selected Refresh Token Policy, set the Session Timeout Value.

8. Click “Save” to apply the changes.
