The Enterprise Mobile Scan Builder lets administrators easily create and manage scan app settings for individual Profiles and Users using the Mobile Scan Builder. With these settings, admins can customize various parts of the app to match specific needs, including:
App Branding
Menu Settings
Home Settings
Enhancement Settings
Destination Page Settings
OCR Results Page Settings
Page Layout Options
Settings Hierarchy and Precedence
The scan app follows a hierarchy when determining which settings to apply. The most specific setting takes priority:
User-Specific Settings: If a user-specific configuration exists, the app will apply these settings first.
Profile-Specific Settings: If no user-specific settings are available, the app will fall back to the profile-specific settings.
Organization Default Settings: In the absence of both user and profile settings, the app will apply the organization default settings.
When creating a new user or profile setting, the organization's default settings will automatically be applied as a baseline, ensuring consistency while allowing for further customization.
Important Note
Consent settings and Lead and Contact page field settings aren’t tied to User or Profile custom settings records. This means you’ll only see these tabs in the Org Default settings and not anywhere else.
If you’re upgrading to the Enterprise Mobile Scan Builder, remove any old custom settings records you’ve previously created.
