What Is Open Enrollment?

Open Enrollment is the time period when employees can sign up for their benefits.

  • Open Enrollment typically begins about 4 weeks before the 1st of the following month

  • During this time, employees are encouraged to review their options and make their selections

  • To help ensure no one misses out, our enrollment team sends communications and reminders via:

    • Phone calls

    • Text messages

    • Emails

Important: If an employee does not enroll during Open Enrollment, they will need to wait until the next enrollment period or experience a qualifying life event to join.

What Is the Benefit Start Date?

The Benefit Start Date is when coverage officially becomes active.

  • Benefits typically go live on the 1st of the month

  • Once this date arrives, enrolled employees can:

    • Access their account

    • Schedule appointments

    • Use the benefit they selected during Open Enrollment

If an employee enrolled during Open Enrollment, no additional action is needed — their coverage will automatically begin on the start date.
