If your Sibionics GS3 CGM isn’t showing glucose readings or appears to have stopped updating, try the steps below.
1. Check the warm-up period
After applying a new GS3 sensor, there is a 60-minute warm-up period. During this time, glucose readings won’t appear. This is normal.
2. Make sure the sensor was activated correctly
Confirm that:
The sensor was applied and activated in the Sibionics app
You then tapped “Set up a new sensor” in the Vively app
If the sensor wasn’t activated first, data won’t flow through.
3. Check Bluetooth and distance
GS3 sends readings automatically via Bluetooth:
Keep Bluetooth on
Keep your phone within 10 metres
Avoid walls or metal objects between your phone and the sensor
4. Keep the apps running
Make sure:
The Sibionics app and Vively app are allowed to run in the background
Battery-saving or app-sleep settings aren’t restricting them
5. Consider environmental factors
Extreme heat or cold (such as saunas, steam rooms, ice baths, or very cold environments) can temporarily affect sensor performance. Move back to a normal temperature range and allow time for readings to stabilise.
6. Check sensor wear time
GS3 sensors work for up to 14 days. If your sensor has reached the end of its wear period, it will stop updating and will need to be replaced.
7. Restart and reconnect
If needed:
Close and reopen the apps
Turn Bluetooth off and back on
Wait 10 minutes and check again
If you’ve tried all of the above and your sensor still isn’t updating, please email us at contact@vively.com.au with a brief description of the issue. If there’s an inherent fault with the sensor, we’ll help organise a replacement.
