My Sibionics GS3 CGM data isn’t updating — what should I do?

What to do if your Sibionics GS3 CGM data isn't updating

If your Sibionics GS3 CGM data isn’t appearing or updating in the Vively app, follow the steps below.

1. Check the sensor warm-up period

After applying a new GS3 sensor, there is a 60-minute warm-up period. During this time, glucose readings won’t appear. This is normal.

If your sensor was applied less than an hour ago, please allow the warm-up to complete before troubleshooting further.

2. Confirm the sensor is activated in the Sibionics app

Open the Sibionics app and check that:

  • The sensor is applied and activated

  • Glucose readings are visible in the app

If the sensor hasn’t been activated in the Sibionics app, data won’t flow through to Vively.

3. Connect the sensor to the Vively app

Once the sensor is active:

  • Open the Vively app

  • Go to the Track page

  • Tap “Set up a new sensor”

  • Follow the prompts to connect your GS3 sensor

4. Check Bluetooth and phone settings

GS3 sends glucose readings automatically via Bluetooth. Please ensure:

  • Bluetooth is turned on

  • Your phone is within 10 metres of the sensor

  • Both the Sibionics app and Vively app are allowed to run in the background

  • Battery-saving or app-sleep settings aren’t restricting either app

5. Refresh and wait

  • Pull down on the Track page in the Vively app to refresh

  • Wait 10–15 minutes and check again

Temporary connection drops usually resolve on their own once Bluetooth reconnects.

6. Restart your phone (if needed)

If data still isn’t updating:

  • Restart your phone

  • Reopen the Sibionics app and confirm readings are visible

  • Open the Vively app and refresh the Track page

7. Still not updating? Email us

If you’ve tried all the steps above and your data still isn’t updating, please email contact@vively.com.au with:

  • Confirmation that you’re using Sibionics GS3

  • When the sensor was applied

  • A screenshot of readings in the Sibionics app

  • A screenshot of the Track page in the Vively app

This helps us diagnose the issue and assist you more quickly.
