Advertising Insights reports by market and station the Network TV, Spanish-language Network TV, & Syndication spots that cleared in any of the 210 local markets monitored by Vivvix. This is reported separately from Spot TV, but Spot TV must be included as a media for Local Clearances to be shown.

Expenditure Data

Estimated expenditures for Network TV Local Clearances are initially generated via the same cost estimation process described in the Spot TV section. When monthly Network TV expenditure estimates become available, the corresponding Network Local Clearance estimates are re-issued with an apportioned value of the Network cost based on the population size of the local market(s).

Local Clearances of Spanish-language Network TV & Syndication are reported via the same cost estimation process described in the Spot TV section.

Ratings Sources

Ratings for Local Clearances are always based on either NSI or NHSI for the given market, as specified by the user. Both ratings services may not be used on the same report.

Local Cable Allocation

A new media was incorporated to report national spend & ratings data as-if it had occurred at the local level. Cable TV expenditure & ratings activity is allocated proportionately to each of Vivvix’s 210 local markets according to the population of each as defined by Nielsen annually every September. This media is named ‘Cable TV-Locally Allocated’ and is available when the option to include Locally Cleared Media is selected. Please note – activity reported within this media does not represent actual monitored activity in local markets.
