Overview
Adding notes to a Volunteer allows you to keep all important information in one place! You can record time off, hold meeting notes, upload documents in a volunteer's profile.
Note: These notes are internal, volunteers will not be able to view them.
Create a category
In order to create notes on a volunteer's you need to:
Go to 'Volunteers'
Click on the relevant volunteer's profile
Click on 'Notes'
Click 'Categories'
Select '+ New Category'
Name this category. You can also pick a suitable icon and edit the colour
Once you have created at least once category, you can start adding notes. These categories can be reused throughout all volunteer's profiles.
Add Notes to a Volunteer's profile
You can create a note by:
Go to the relevant volunteer's profile
Go to 'Notes'
Click '+ Note'
Select a category, choose a date (these can be backdated)
Fill out your note and click 'Create'
Your notes will all be held in the 'Notes' section of the volunteer's profile:
You can search and filter through your notes, by category, author, time range and source.
Pin Notes
If you have any notes that you would like yourself or your colleagues to see immediately when you open up the notes section, you can pin notes to the top.
Simply click on the three dots on the bottom right of your note and pin the note.
Tag other volunteers and clients in notes
You can also tag other volunteers or clients in a volunteer's notes. To do this you need to:
Create a Note
In the content of the note type '@'
Type in the volunteer's name (if you are tagging a client, press Tab button on your keyboard to switch the options)
Select the relevant client/volunteer
This will now also be stored on the profile of the tagged client/volunteer:
