How to create and manage Notes on a client profile

Overview

Adding notes to a Client profile allows you to keep all important information in one place! You can record important information, hold meeting notes, upload documents in a client's profile.

How to create categories

In order to create notes on a volunteer's you need to:

  1. Go to 'Clients'

  2. Click on the relevant client's profile

  3. Click on 'Notes'

  4. Click 'Categories'

  5. Select '+ New Category'

Name this category. You can also pick a suitable icon and edit the colour

Once you have created at least once category, you can start adding notes. These categories can be reused throughout all client's profiles.

Add notes to a client's profile

You can create a note by:

  1. Go to the relevant client's profile

  2. Go to 'Notes'

  3. Click '+ Note'

  4. Select a category, choose a date (these can be backdated)

  5. Fill out your note and click 'Create'

Your notes will all be held in the 'Notes' section of the client's profile:

You can search and filter through your notes, by category, author, time range and source.

Pin Notes

If you have any notes that you would like yourself or your colleagues to see immediately when you open up the notes section, you can pin notes to the top.

Simply click on the three dots on the bottom right of your note and pin the note.

Tag volunteers and other clients in notes

You can also tag volunteers or other clients in a client's notes. To do this you need to:

  1. Create a Note

  2. In the content of the note type '@'

  3. Type in the volunteer's name (if you are tagging a client, press Tab button on your keyboard to switch the options)

    This will then sit on the other profile as an '@' category:
