How to download and sign in

If you’re a registered volunteer for one of the charities using Volunteero, welcome aboard! 🎉

To get started, check your inbox for a welcome email from support@volunteero.org. This email contains everything you need to access your Volunteero account, including download links and your sign-in details.

Tip: If you can’t find the email, be sure to check your junk or spam folder; sometimes email filters can send it there by mistake.

Once you’ve received your email, you can download the Volunteero app from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store, or access the desktop version directly from your web browser.

"But I cannot find the email anywhere."

First, double-check with your charity that they’ve created your app account and that your email address has been entered correctly. Once confirmed, follow the steps below to get started:

  1. Download the Volunteero app using the links below.

  2. On the login page, select ‘Forgot password’ to generate your own password.

  3. Check your email for the password reset link; it expires after 1 hour, so be sure to use it promptly.

If you don’t see the email, check your junk or spam folder.

“My password isn’t working.”

If your password isn’t working, we recommend copying and pasting it to avoid any chance of mistyping. If that doesn’t solve the issue, follow the steps above to reset your password and set up a new one.

If you have any problems accessing or using the app, please contact our support team at support@volunteero.org. One of our friendly team members will be happy to help.

If your query relates to your volunteering activity rather than the app itself, we recommend getting in touch with the charity you volunteer for directly.

Two Factor Authentication

What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Volunteero account. When enabled, you’ll need to provide two forms of identification when signing in: your usual password and a unique security code. This extra step helps make it much harder for anyone else to access your account without permission.

Some organisations may require volunteers to use 2FA. If this applies to you, you’ll be prompted to set it up when you log in. If it’s not mandatory, you can still enable it manually for added protection by going to Profile > Account > Two-Factor Authentication in your app.

To learn more about 2FA and how to set it up, check out our Two-Factor Authentication article.

As always, if you require any further assistance or if you face any difficulties with 2FA, please feel free to email us at support@volunteero.org. Our team will be happy to help!😊
