Staff users can submit reports on behalf of a volunteer, follow the below steps to find out how:
Report on behalf of a volunteer
Firstly, locate the relevant mission for which you would like to submit a report on behalf of a volunteer.
Please note: that to report on behalf of a volunteer within a mission, the relevant volunteer must be assigned to that mission.
If you need guidance on how to assign a volunteer to a mission, then please follow the steps in this guide.
Volunteers do need to have app access switched on to be assigned to a mission within Volunteero. Even if that volunteer does not intend to use it, you must open one just so you can then report on their behalf.
Tip: You can just have them ignore the welcome email but they will also need to turn off all notifications or else they may still receive the odd notification. This actually may be beneficial as they will be given a weekly or daily snapshot of available missions.
Once the volunteer is assigned to the mission... click into the Reports section within that mission.
Click the new report and then proceed through the stages to enter the details of the report.
The relevant report template will then appear and you'll be able to input:
Which volunteer is the report for
The time and day of the report
Any relevant questions, including volunteer time, details or other custom questions your organisations may ask volunteers in their reports.
Finally, click 'create report'.
And you're done, this report will now appear in your account, against the relevant volunteer, logging any details or time spent volunteering that you need.
Please note: reports submitted by a staff user will be marked as such after they have been created.
