How to add or remove a volunteer from a chat

There may be occasions where staff users need to add additional staff or volunteers to pre-existing chats on Volunteero.

Please note: that the individual settings will override the group settings. So if a volunteer is part of a group that is in a chat but you have removed them specifically, that will take precedence.

Firstly, open the Volunteero chat window. The Volunteero chat window is opened by pressing the icon on the top right of the management dashboard (as shown below)

All of your existing Volunteero chats will show on the left-hand side. Locate the chat that you want to manage (or use the 3 dots at the top right). This will open up the 'Manage chat' option.

Click 'Manage chat members', which will open out a list of every individual in that chat.

Add individuals

To add volunteers, press the "Invite" button where you can search and find the volunteers to be added. Use the checkboxes to select all volunteers to be added. Then finally press "invite"

Remove individuals

To remove volunteers, use the checkboxes on the left to select those you wish to remove, then press the red "Remove" button on the bottom left of the pop-out window.
