How do I send out a reference form?

Our reference forms live within our volunteer registration form and/or client referral form. It cannot be sent independently; it must be submitted as part of one of these forms. This ensures that the referee is properly notified of who the reference is for and you can add additional referees to your volunteer registration and client referral forms.

When creating a form on Volunteero, you can include our email reference field. If you have multiple referee forms, make sure to link the correct one for each volunteering role, as different roles may require different referee forms.

To link a reference form:

  1. Open your volunteer application form.

  2. Click on the email reference field on the left-hand side.

  3. Go to the Referee Form section.

  4. A list of available referee forms will appear.

  5. Select the form you want to link to this field.

  6. Click Apply Changes to save.

To send an additional reference, you don't need the volunteer/client to submit a full new form. You can send an extra reference request from the submission directly. Open the submission and click + Reference. Fill in the details of the new reference, select the form and start the reference.
