There may be occasions where a staff member needs to revise or edit a volunteer report on Volunteero.
Perhaps they have accidentally submitted the wrong information or left out some valuable information that they have since passed on to you.
Follow the steps in this guide to make changes to a submitted volunteer report.
Jump to sections:
Creating revisions on a Volunteer report
Staff users can create revisions on volunteer reports, including adjusting time, any text answers and uploading receipts.
First things first, find the volunteer report you want to make an edit on.
Click the three dots on the right-hand side and click 'create revision'
Make any changes to the report responses. This may include:
Date the report was submitted
Volunteer time
Call time
Any actions required
Any custom question types
Backdating your report
Did your volunteer forget to report for a few weeks? You can backdate their reports. Let the volunteer submit a report for each week and you can then revise the date for them.
Keep report private from the Volunteer
If not private, then the report can be viewed by mission-approved volunteers
Click Create Revision
Your updated report will now be live, and the original source report will be archived away. You can continue to make as many revisions as you need .
Please note that creating revisions on reports means that the source report will be archived (to avoid duplicate insights), but you can always access this source report if needed.
Revisions will also show the staff member which created it.
Archiving reports
Sometimes it's necessary to archive off volunteer reports. Simply click the three dots on the right-hand side of any report and click 'archive'. This means that this report will no longer count towards your data and insights.
