Setting Up Your Voyage Passport
Wondering how to make the most of your Voyage Passport? This article will teach you how!
On Voyage, you don’t have to submit a new application each time you apply to a role – you simply share your Voyage Passport with an employer. This means you want to make sure your Voyage Passport is setting you up for success! Think of it as a powerful combination of a profile page and a digital CV, where you can showcase all your essential information.
In this article, we'll walk you through each section of your Voyage Passport and provide tips on how to fill it out effectively.
Step 1
Go to myvoyage.io and sign into your Voyage account.
Step 2
If you’re not already there, head over to the ‘Passport’ tab.
Step 3
Begin by filling out your ‘Profile’ section. Here, you can upload all your basic information including a photo, a short description of yourself, and your visa information.
Step 4
Next, you can add your educational history. Here, you can add a new entry for each of your different educational experiences. Remember to add some details in the ‘Additional information’ box to let employers know what you did during your time as a student and what you learned that would make you a valuable addition to their company! And don’t forget to add your current educational institution too!
Step 5
Now it’s time to add your work experience. You can add as many entries as you want. Make sure you provide some concise details in the ‘Additional information’ box that explains what you did during your time working, including any key responsibilities you had and skills you gained.
Step 6
Next, you can add any volunteering experience you may have had and let employers know what you accomplished during this time. If you haven’t had any volunteering experiences, you can leave this section blank. Any section you leave blank won’t show up for employers.
Step 7
You can now add your experience in clubs and societies. Remember, many employers want to know about who you are as a person and how you’ve contributed to communities. Here you can share some of what makes you unique and what interests you hold.
Step 8
Next, you can add any awards you have won. Sharing awards or recognitions you have earned is a great way to let employers know about your achievements and how you’ve excelled compared to your peers.
Step 9
In the next section, you can add any certificates or licenses you have. This is your chance to share any relevant information about officially recognised skills and qualifications you may hold, including a driver’s license, vocational certificates, or any other appropriate certificates.
Step 10
Finally, you can add any referees you may have. This is a trusted figure in your life who can speak to your competence and worthiness. It’s important that you ensure you have this person’s permission before sharing their contact details with employers.
Now you’ve filled out your passport, make sure you come back in future to keep it up to date! You can come back at any time to edit any information you’ve inputted or add new information entirely.
That’s all! You’re now ready to start applying to roles on Voyage. If you run into any trouble, don’t hesitate to contact us via chat support or at support@marketplace.voyage.
