How do I test different product ideas?

Concept screening

You have a wide range of concepts that you could work with - perhaps from your own research or a design agency - but you can’t proceed with all of them. You need an objective steer on where it would be best to focus your efforts.

For small ranges of concepts (less than 5), where you want consumers to compare each intensively a Preference Steer would be suitable.

For a moderate volume of concepts (between 5 and 10), where it is still reasonable to expect each consumer to review them in one sitting, you can use the Multi-Option or Multi-Answer steers.

For a larger number of options, a certain number of Multi-Option or Multi-Answer steers need to be created, for which the Duplicate function comes in handy and makes the process easier. When the top 4 or 5 are determined they can be tested against each other in a Preference Steer.
