Vypr Score

How does it work and how to set it up

Vypr Score allows you to compare like-with-like products, so that you can understand the relative purchase intent as a predictor of a product’s chance of success.

It works by building a collection of benchmarks. These are ranked from 0-10 with their comparative position (using a rank decile of purchase intent).

The SKU/concept that takes the number 5 position is your average product benchmark.

Question format: 'Would you buy this?' and assign products to a category e.g., flavoured ice cream.

Number of options to test: Unlimited, the more products to benchmark against the better!

Results format: A graph is displayed by the level of purchase intent. Each Score steer will close after 500 responses.

Best for: Benchmarking against other products to determine purchase intent.

How to set up: 

  1. Head to Add New > Vypr Score. Add your steer title, image and description. You can add between 1 and 25 products. Each product will cost one steer

  2. You are then asked to choose a category. This is where you create your sub-category e.g. Energy drinks. Like with all Vypr steers, remember to be consistent. When benchmarking products you must ensure that you are comparing like for like, e.g. You may want to show packaged products (in which case all products added to this must be packaged and your category could be called Energy Drinks - packaged), or you may want to add the pricing (Energy Drinks - packaged with pricing.) 

  3. Select your Demographics - ALL score steers in your category must be sent to the same demographics. Alternatively, you could also select National Representative. 

  4. Scroll down to the bottom to add the steer to a Project. Click here for more on Projects.

  5. Save & Preview and Publish OR Duplicate.

  6. ALL PRODUCTS BENCHMARKED MUST BE IN THIS SUB-CATEGORY TO BE INCLUDED IN THE RESULTS. 

7. If you are adding more than 25, or wish to add more at a later date, please use the Add Steer to Report feature.  Add Steer to Report can be found when reviewing the results of your Score category.

I need a product removing from one of the reports, what do I do?

Please get in touch with the Helpdesk and we can 'Archive' a product for you. By Archiving, we can add it back in if required. 

Under the Score chart there is a tabular version of the data.  Each of the products in the report are linked and the user can navigate between products in the table.
