Once you have Score, we recommend the following use cases.
Use Case 1
Question:
You want to understand how potential new ready-meal variants will perform in an existing range.
What do you do?
Add all current products into a score chart along with the NPD options.
Who are you targeting?
Heavy, Medium, Light buyers of ready meals.
Info added:
You would add the price in this example e.g. Would you Buy? - ‘Mothers Best’ - Mac N Cheese, £3.90.
The image would show packaged product and, if relevant, you may consider adding a portion indicator on the image e.g. ‘serves 1’.
Analysis
You would then be able to Look at the results in the chart and analysis as ‘Heavy vs Medium vs Light buyers’.
Use Case 2
Question:
You want to assess the appeal of competitor NPD concepts/flavours that are launched in the market to be on the pulse of application of new trends or ideas.
What do you do?
Add the range of current products (can include your own and competitors) into a score chart along with new products that are launched in the market.
Who are you targeting?
Heavy, Medium, Light buyers of the category

You would probably NOT include the price in this example as you want to assess appeal. (though this depends on what exactly you are looking at).
The image could either be at a concept level (see image) as a packaged product and, if not obvious, you may consider adding a portion indicator on the image e.g. ‘serves 1.’ Whichever route you choose you must be consistent across a Score chart.
Analysis
You would then be able to Look at the results in the chart and analysis as ‘Heavy vs Medium vs Light buyers’.
