Customer Interfaces: Site & Waillo Chat

Written by Scott Pfeifer

Overview

The customer site is where customers interface with WaitWell when joining via web browser. Most customers will interact this way (the alternative being via kiosk). The customer site is comprised of several pages that guide customers through the process of joining queues and/or booking appointments. These pages may be customized and configured on the customer site settings page.

Landing Page

The landing page is where customers choose a queue to join for walk-in service and/or a service type for which to book an appointment. They may also search for an existing ticket or appointment.

Join Queue Page

Customers who choose to join a queue for walk-in service on the landing page are redirected to the join queue page of whichever queue they selected. From here they may enter the necessary information. Once complete, they may select the Join button at the bottom of the page to complete the process.

Status Page

Customers are redirected to the status page immediately after joining a queue for walk-in service. Customers with an appointment receive a link to this page when their appointment ticket is placed in the queue (which is typically shortly before their appointment start time). This page updates every 10 seconds for tickets in positions 7 and above, and every 30 seconds for tickets in positions 8 and below. The key information and points of interactivity shown to customers on this page are may be customized on the customer site settings page and include:

  • Current status

  • Estimated wait time

  • Queue position

  • Meeting type

  • The ability to hold, un-hold, check-in, and/or cancel their ticket

  • The ability to read and reply to messages sent automatically by the system (configured in communication templates) and/or manually by staff

  • A Google map containing directions to the location
