Step 1: Grant Permission
Active Pass uses iOS's Screen Time API to manage app access. Here's how to enable it:
When prompted, tap "Continue" to begin setup
Authenticate with Face ID to grant permission
Active Pass will now have permission to temporarily pause and unlock your selected apps
Your Privacy Is Protected
We do NOT see how you use your apps or any usage data
We only see which apps are installed on your device
All information is stored locally on your device and secured by Apple
This is simply a permission to pause and unpause apps—nothing more
Step 2: Select Your Reward Apps
Once you've granted permission, it's time to choose which apps become movement rewards:
Browse through your installed apps
Important: Do NOT select entire app categories. Instead:
Tap the small arrow next to each category to expand it
Select individual apps within that category
Choose apps that keep you sitting during breaks:
✅ Social media: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter/X
✅ Entertainment: YouTube, Netflix, Pinterest
✅ Games and other leisure apps
Never select:
❌ Work-related apps
❌ Essential communication apps
❌ Banking or utility apps
Remember: You're Always in Control
Force Unlock: Need immediate access? You can force unlock any app for one hour at any time
Edit Selections: Change your Reward Apps anytime in Settings > Active Pass
Disable Feature: You can turn off Active Pass completely in Settings (though we don't recommend it—this feature is crucial for breaking free from sedentary habits)
Pro Tips for Success
Start with 2-3 apps that you know keep you sitting the longest
Choose apps you enjoy but don't need for work or emergencies
Think of these as "reward apps" rather than "blocked apps"
Remember: just one minute of movement unlocks everything
Ready to Transform Your Screen Time?
With Active Pass configured, your favorite apps become powerful motivators for movement. Every unlock is a small victory over sedentary behavior, and those victories add up to real transformation.
