What is Power Hour?

Extra motivation for those inactive times

Updated over a week ago

Power Hour is a dynamic feature that gives you extra motivation to move during your typically most inactive time of day. During this special 60-minute window, all your movement earns bonus Wakeout Watts—usually 1.5x the normal amount.

How It Works

Notification & Visibility

  • You'll receive a notification when Power Hour begins

  • A Live Activity appears on your iPhone lock screen showing the countdown timer

  • Opening Wakeout displays a popup with the remaining Power Hour time

Bonus Rewards

During Power Hour:

  • All physical activity earns a 1.5x multiplier on Wakeout Watts

  • The hourly watt maximum increases, allowing you to earn more toward your daily goal

  • Every type of movement counts extra:

    • Steps tracked by Apple Health

    • Flights of stairs climbed

    • Standing minutes

    • Exercise from other apps

    • Wakeout exercises

When Does Power Hour Occur?

Power Hour adapts to your personal patterns. It typically activates during your historically least active time of day—the hour when you tend to move the least based on your past behavior. This might be:

  • Mid-afternoon slump time

  • Evening couch time

  • Morning slow start

  • Any hour where movement historically drops

The timing is personalized and may shift as your activity patterns change.

Can You Turn Off Power Hour?

Power Hour cannot currently be disabled. It's designed as a core feature to help break through your most stubborn sedentary patterns.

Making the Most of Power Hour

Since all movement earns bonus points during this time, it's the perfect opportunity to:

  • Take a quick walk

  • Do a few Wakeout exercises

  • Use the stairs

  • Stand and stretch

  • Turn any movement into accelerated progress toward your daily goal

Power Hour transforms your least active time into your most rewarding movement opportunity.
