These notifications are crucial in helping you break sedentary habits by prompting you to interrupt prolonged sitting sessions. We've invested significant effort in creating a customizable and effective notification system to support your journey towards a more active lifestyle.

How Smart Notifications Work

1. Adaptive Timing:

Wakeout tracks your activity and movement patterns to determine the best times to send notifications. If our system notices that you consistently don't respond to messages at a certain time (e.g., 9 AM), it will adjust and try sending notifications at a more effective time.

2. Content Personalization:

The content of the notifications also adapts based on your response patterns. Our Anti-Sedentary AI system learns which types of messages are most effective in motivating you to move and adjusts accordingly.

3. Frequency Adjustment:

The frequency of reminders varies depending on your activity level. If you've been particularly sedentary, you may receive more reminders as the system deems it crucial to get your attention and encourage movement.

Customizing Your Notifications

While our smart system works to optimize your reminders, you have control over the general frequency and timing of notifications:

1. Accessing Settings:

- Tap the "=" icon in the top right corner of the app

- Select "Activity Schedule" from the menu

2. Frequency Levels:

Choose from three notification frequency levels:

- Enhanced: Highest number of possible daily messages

- Normal: Moderate number of daily reminders

- Limited: Fewer daily notifications

3. Activity Window:

Set the time frame during which you're willing to receive notifications. You'll only get reminders during your active days and within this specified window.

4. Turning Off Notifications:

While it's possible to turn off all notifications, we strongly discourage this option. Breaking sedentary habits is challenging, and regular reminders play a crucial role in this process. Only consider this if you're confident in your ability to stay active hourly without prompts.
