How do I add an invoice?

Invoice a client for their appointments, and Walkies sends it for you.

Here's how to invoice a client in Walkies. Walkies sends the invoice to your client for you when you save it.

Add an invoice

  1. Tap Invoices, then the + button. On iPad, the + is at the top of the invoice list.

  2. Choose Invoice.

  3. Choose the client and tap Next.

  4. Check the pets. They're all selected to start with. Tap Next.

  5. Check the payment method. Your client's preferred method is picked for you, or your company's if they don't have one. Tap Next.

  6. Turn on Autopopulate to fill the invoice from their confirmed appointments between the start and end dates (the last week to start with). Or add services yourself with the + buttons. Tap Next.

  7. Check the dates the invoice covers and tap Next.

  8. Check the due date and tap Next.

  9. Add a deposit if you'd like one, then tap Next.

  10. Check the invoice and tap the ✓ to save.

What happens next

  • Walkies sends the invoice to your client by their notification settings: the Walkies Journal app, email, and SMS or WhatsApp on the Pro plan and above. There's no separate send step.

  • It shows under Unpaid, and turns Overdue the day after it's due.

  • Walkies Pay invoices are marked paid when your client pays. For other payment methods, record the payment on the invoice.

  • To send it again, open the invoice, tap ... and choose Share, Export PDF or Send reminder.
