What is a Journey?

A Journey is a set of automations designed to reach different target audiences at specific times. It is also a rock band formed in 1973. The Journey we are concerned with is the former. When you build a Journey consider three main factors:

  • What content you want to send

  • To whom you want to send it

  • When you want to send it

What is an Automation?

An automation can be thought of as an email and/or text that is a part of your Journey. You can have one automation under a Journey or you can multiple automations under a Journey. An automation, email and/or text, sends to the defined audience you set up under the Journey.

What is an Audience?

Audiences are target groups for your automations and they are created using conditions. You can create multiple conditions under one Audience to narrow down your target group. Audiences allow you to send tailored communications to these specific groups of people on their customer journey.

What are Conditions?

Conditions act as filters within audiences. They help you identify individuals based on specified qualities and behaviors. Once assigned to an audience, when the the automation sends and to whom the automation sends is determined by the conditions that make up your audience.
