Your clients can pay for services in advance, whether they're booking services via the Watalook website (marketplace) or social media.
Here are a couple of things you should know about the Watalook advance payments option:
Enabling online payments
You can activate this option yourself in your app: Profile -> Payments
When enabling the advanced payments option, you'll need to go through the user authentication process.
Fees
For each advance payment, you're charged 3% off the total value of the basket (plus VAT).
If the client cancels too late or doesn't show up
If your client cancels their appointment less than 24 hrs before the due time or doesn't show up, you'll be paid the full value of their order (minus the 3 % fee).
If you cancel the appointment yourself, you'll need to pay a 2 EUR cancellation fee. There are some exemptions from this fee (contact the Watalook team about it).
Money withdrawal
Your earnings are automatically transferred to your bank account twice a month (on the 1st and the 16th day of the month)
If you want to withdraw your funds earlier, you can do it anytime if your total earnings are more than 100 EUR.
Your money is transferred to the bank account you added before your first withdrawal. If you don't add a bank account number, you cannot withdraw funds.
Marking an appointment as "Paid"
After an appointment, you can mark it as "Paid". You can do it until midnight on the same day. After midnight, the system will automatically mark the appointment as "Paid".
When you mark the appointment as paid, you can also change the order's value (if your client has spontaneously changed their original service to a more expensive or cheaper one).
If the new order value is lower than the original one, you'll see a pop-up message asking you to reach out to the Watalook customer support. Then, we can manually change the order value and accordingly reduce the commission fee.
If the new order value is higher than the original one, you can edit it yourself. After you enter the new order value, we'll generate a QR code that will take your client to a payment page where they'll need to pay the remaining order value. The commission fee will be applied to the original order value.
