Introduction to bulk imports

An overview of how bulk imports work

Updated over 4 months ago

If you've got lots of products to upload it's going to be faster to bulk upload than adding products manually. Whilst it can seem like a complicated process it can be broken down in to some very simple steps.

The export/import functions are broken down into sections and only one section can be exported or imported at a time. There is a logical order to this since some sections use fields from other sections (e.g a product identifier code). The sections related to My Products and Product Inventories are shown below. The dark blue ones are required and the light blue ones are optional.

The export/import functions are found on the seller dashboard.

Data will be exported and needs to be imported in CSV file format. Column headings are used to identify the fields in each section. Its vital to get these headings right. Luckily there's an easy way to do this! Simply export a section, open up the CSV and you've got all your headings in Row 1 ready for import.

If we export My products / Products:

We get a CSV file with the field names in Row 1 ready for you to add to.

Once you've added all your details, save as a CSV and import the file by going to import:

Clicking on My products opens up a side panel. Select Products from the Select data dropdown list, select the CSV file to be imported then press the blue import button.

We've got an article covering uploading each section starting with importing products.
