Due to the ongoing U.S. tax filing season and regulatory compliance requirements, Webot (formerly Pionex.US) is currently assisting users with Social Security Number or Taxpayer Identification Number (SSN/TIN) verification.

How to complete my SSN/TIN verification

To complete your SSN/TIN verification, please proceed using the Webot mobile application. Kindly refer to the following instructions:

  1. Download the "Webot (formerly Pionex.US)" mobile app here: https://www.webot.com/us/en-US/download

  2. Log in using your Pionex.US account on the Webot mobile app.

  3. Navigate within the app as follows: Account → Settings → Security → Identity Verification → Personal Information → Verify.

  4. Click the "Verify" button to submit your verification

  5. Please wait about 10 minutes and check the status

What is the difference between identity verification and SSN/TIN verification?

You may receive reminder emails even after completing the identity verification process. Identity verification and SSN verification are two separate requirements:

Identity Verification

  • Mandatory requirement to access all Webot (formerly Pionex.US) products and services.

  • Users who have not completed identity verification are unable to access all Webot (formerly Pionex.US) products and services.

SSN/TIN Verification

  • Required for U.S. tax compliance starting January 19, 2026, 11:00 PM PST.

  • If SSN/TIN verification is not completed in 2026, a 24% federal backup withholding tax may be imposed by the IRS.

Is there a fee for verifying my SSN/TIN?

Before January 19, 2026, 11:00 PM PST

  • The first submission made before January 19, 2026, 11:00 PM PST will be free of charge.

  • If the initial submission is incorrect or rejected, each subsequent submission will incur a fee of 1 USDT.

After January 19, 2026, 11:00 PM PST

  • All submissions made after January 19, 2026, 11:00 PM PST will incur a fee of 1 USDT per submission.

  • The website version is not available yet.

  • Please contact customer support and provide your SSN/TIN information for manual verification.

  • Our team will assist with the manual verification process.

Why did my SSN/TIN submission fail?

Several factors may have contributed to the failure of your SSN/TIN verification, as outlined below:

Your SSN/TIN is currently under review

  • Please allow approximately 10 minutes after submission before checking the status again.

  • During periods of high demand, the verification process may take longer.

Your SSN/TIN has been rejected

  • Your full name may be incorrect, or you may have recently changed your name due to marriage or other circumstances.

  • Your identification number may be incorrect. Please review your details and the information displayed.

  • Your name may be incorrectly recorded in our system. Please contact customer support for assistance.

“No record found” with a gray exclamation mark (!)

  • Please prepare your SSN/TIN Letter and contact customer support.

  • Our team will assist with manual verification.

Other issues

  • If you continue to experience difficulties completing the verification after multiple attempts, please contact customer support.

  • Provide a screenshot of the SSN submission page for further review.

Why am I unable to find the SSN/TIN verification page?

This issue typically arises due to one of the following reasons:

You are accessing the platform via the Pionex.US mobile app or website.

  • Please download the "Webot (formerly Pionex.US)" mobile application here: https://www.webot.com/us/en-US/download

  • Log in to the Webot mobile app using your Pionex.US account credentials.

  • Please refer to the instructions provided here

You are using an outdated version of the Webot mobile app.

  • Please update the application to the latest version and attempt the process again.

  • Ensure that your mobile app version is v2.1.9.1 or higher.

You are using the Webot website

  • The website version is not available yet.

  • Please contact customer support and provide your SSN/TIN information for manual verification.

  • Our team will assist with the manual verification process.

What does "24% Federal Backup Withholding" mean?

According to IRS regulations, accounts with unverified tax information may be subject to a 24% Backup Withholding tax on all future proceeds. Promptly updating your tax information will help ensure your account remains in good standing and may prevent potential third-party verification fees in the future.
