Are the workshops suitable for children?

At what age can children take part in the workshops?

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Some are, but unless otherwise stated on the workshop page, workshops are meant for adults only.

Some workshops are open to people over the age of 15. The minimum age depends on the difficulty of the workshop and the tools used. For instance, workshops involving sharp tools or intricate tasks may require participants to be 18 or older, while simpler sessions might welcome those aged 15 and above.

However, a selection of experiences designed specifically for children is available on the website:

The "children and family" workshops are designed and created FOR children!

This applies to the format, the item created, the time, and the price. Everything is adapted to suit the age group.

There are 3 sub-categories:

  • Child only - the child is not accompanied by a family member during the workshop (the child creates the item alone).

  • Parent/child pair - the child participates with an adult (the pair should have only one adult).

  • Family - this is an à la carte format: X child(ren) / X adult(s) (there must be at least 1 adult and at least 1 child). Each format has strict rules: for 'Parent/child pair', only one adult is allowed per child, requiring separate bookings for additional children; 'Child only' sessions require complete independence under the artisan's guidance; and 'Family' workshops can adapt to various group sizes but must meet the minimum participant requirements. The Family (à la carte) format is designed for flexibility, ensuring that at least one adult and one child can participate. This adaptation allows families of varying sizes to enjoy activities together, tailored specifically to the needs of participants.

You can refine your search by applying filters 😉. To book, ensure you choose a format that matches your group composition, such as 'Parent/child duo' for a parent with one child or 'Child alone' for individual participants. Early booking is recommended due to limited spots. If a specific Family (à la carte) workshop, such as clay modeling for two adults and two children, isn’t found after filtering, the activity is likely unavailable. Wecandoo’s support agents cannot confirm details about unlisted options, so checking the website often is the best approach. By applying filters on the Wecandoo website, you can discover Family (à la carte) workshops tailored to your preferences. Filters allow searches based on activity type, artisan, and location. Pricing for each workshop is displayed on the website but varies based on the artisan and the group size. If a desired activity isn’t listed, it may not currently be offered; check back frequently for updates.

➡️ PLEASE NOTE: Under no circumstances may an adult take the place of a child. Artisans will be obliged to refuse any participant who does not respect this rule. No refunds will be given in this case.
